Saigon River has its own beauty that is hidden behind the bustling pace of life.

Saigon River has its own beauty that is hidden behind the bustling pace of life.

Saigon was originally a city of rivers and channels. Besides the two big rivers of Dong Nai and Saigon, the city has numerous small rivers and channels. Besides high buildings, Saigon is also a city of channels. You don’t need to ask why Saigon has many bridges.

Starting from Loc Ninh of Binh Phuoc province, the Saigon River with a length of 256 km flows through the southern provinces of Tay Ninh and Binh Duong, then peacefully travels around Saigon, and finally joins the Dong Nai River to pour into the Nha Be River in the Red Light cape. Looking from above, the river looks like a giant snake.

From another angle, we can see the gentle beauty of Tau Hu canal. The outstanding feature of this canal is the Mong Bridge, which is designed with typical green color together with red roof of the nearby State Treasury building. It is a great place for young people to gather.

Another familiar place to young people in Saigon is the Saigon bank in Thu Thiem, District 2. Its surroundings include high buildings, and the bustling Bach Dang wharf with restaurants and music from big boats.

And somewhere in the memories of Saigon people, the old Binh Loi Bridge still makes an impression. When a bigger bridge wasbuilt and gorgeously decorated with bright red color, Saigon people still loved this 100-year bridge. Another bridge - Ong Lon - has long been a gathering place of Saigonese for taking photos.
