On a visit to Xuan Quan commune in Van Giang District in Hung Yen province, visitors will see colorful flower gardens that are being prepared for Lunar New Year or Tet holiday, which starts in three weeks.
 Xuan Quan village is less than 20 km from the center of Hanoi. It is an ideal place for young people to take photographs. You can ride a motorbike on the dike of Long Bien toward the traditional pottery village of Bat Trang or take bus No. 47 and then catch a motorbike taxi to get to Xuan Quan. Xuan Quan is very near this famous pottery village.  As the agricultural land is being narrowed because of urbanization, local people have to take full use of every inch of land to grow flowers. Imported flower trees must be watered regularly.  Pansy flowers with different colors, priced from VND10,000 to VND15,000 ($05-0.6) per small pot.
 Xuan Quan farmers plant 10 different kinds of petunias, which are imported from Thailand and the United States.
