Like bauhinia flowers, milky flowers bloom after the lunar New Year (Tet). In Hanoi, milky flower trees are planted on the streets as Thanh Nien, Phan Dinh Phung and Dien Bien Phu. In the milky flower season, these streets look totally different. Milky flowers bloom in only about one week so photographers have to take their time to get the best pictures. Milky flowers are also known as snow flowers or cherry flower of the tropical.
