Ly Son district have three islands: Lon, Be and Mu Cu. Lon (Big) Island called Cu Lao Re, consisting of two communes – An Vinh and An Hai, while Be Island iss called Bo Bai with a single commune of An Binh. The smallest island – Hon Mu Cu – has no habitant.
Be Island, 7 km far from Lon Island, has a population of 400, representing more than 100 families who live by fishing and planting onions and garlic.
Life on Be Island is quiet, most of the time, unlike the bustling activity on Lon Island.
