More than 100 photos depicting snapshots of the country’s natural landscape and heritage are displayed at an exhibition that opened in Hanoi on November 13.
The event is part of activities celebrating Vietnam’s eighth Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
Photographers use their images to introduce visitors to the country’s traditional customs and practices, unique festivals, and architectural works. Images of people’s living conditions and traditional handicrafts from every corner of the world are also showcased at the exhibition.
Two collections of picitures by photographers Na Son and Le Hoai Phuong impress visitors by focusing on the pressing issues of deforestation and wild animal protection.
Le Thanh Hai, Editor in Chief of Vietnam Heritage magazine, noted the exhibition is an initiative of her magazine and received support from the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association. Hai said the organising board had called on people to submit their own artwork exploring Vietnam’s natural landscapes for this photo contest running from A to B.
The contest helped interested photographers share stories and diverse perspectives on Vietnam’s heritage and cultural values.
The exhibition will conclude on November 19.
