A 9-km overpass linking North Linh Dam peninsula with Mai Dich area in the capital city will be open to traffic on October 21.
The overpass, including two 385m access roads and 8.5km road bridges, has a total investment capitalisation of more than VND5.5 trillion.
The project has three bidding packages, of which package No1 stretching from Thanh Xuan district to North Linh Dam peninsula was open to traffic on June 30, 2012.
This is Hanoi’s first overpass for cars to run at a maximum speed of 80km/h.
Once the overpass is put into use, it will help ease congestion along the ring road of the capital city.
