Advertisement of breast milk substitutes for children less than 24 months will be banned, according to the Government Decree 100/2014/ND-CP on trading and use of nutritional products, bottles and artificial nipples for infants.

 

Advertisement of breast milk substitutes for children less than 24 months will be banned, according to the Government Decree 100/2014/ND-CP on trading and use of nutritional products, bottles and artificial nipples for infants.

Under the decree, the dairy firms are banned from contacting mothers, pregnant women and their relatives to introduce dairy products and promotional programs for infants, such as offering scholarships, financing scientific researches, organizing seminars, concerts, workshops and competitions.

The decree will take effect from March, 1, 2015.
