New schedules for import tax-, VAT-exempt goods

The Ministry of Planning and Investment issued Circular No 04/2009/TT-BKH on July 23 guiding the implementation of provisions in the Law on Import Tax and the Law on Value-Added Tax.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment issued Circular No 04/2009/TT-BKH on July 23 guiding the implementation of provisions in the Law on Import Tax and the Law on Value-Added Tax.

The circular lists goods eligible for exemptions from import duties and VAT, pursuant to Decree No 149/ 2005/ND-CP of December 8, 2005. The new circular replaces Decision No 827/2006/QD-BKH of August 15, 2006, and shall takes effect 15 days from its publication in the Official Gazette.
