This Decree, issued by the Government on September 22, details and guides the implementation of the Intellectual Property (IP) Law regarding protection of IP rights and state management of IP.
It applies to Vietnamese and foreign organizations and individuals that have IP rights protected or commit acts of infringing upon IP rights.
Depending on the nature and severity of their violations, violators shall be subject to civil, administrative or penal handling measures according to the provisions of the IP Law.
Organizations and individuals that have IP rights protected may request competent state agencies.
