Under this Decision, issued by the Prime Minister on March 28, the absolute import tax rates shall apply to used cars of under 15 seats, specifically:
For cars of 5 seats or less, the tax rates range between USD 3,000 and USD 25,000; for cars of from 6 to 9 seats, between USD 9,000 and USD 20,000; and for cars of from 10 to 15 seats, between USD 8,000 and USD 15,000, depending on cars cylinder capacity.
The Finance Ministry may increase or reduce by 20% the tax rates set in this Decision in order to control and regulate the domestic consumption market and stop trade fraud. Adjustment of the said tax rates by more than 20% must be reported to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision.
