Efforts to deploy support teams that assist residents in installing the VNeTraffic smart traffic application are helping road users easily look up or report violations directly on the platform. This initiative helps digitise procedures, reduce paperwork, and improve the efficiency of state management.
Determined to bring VNeTraffic to every citizen
In recent months, the Dong Nai Provincial Police have aggressively and simultaneously rolled out VNeTraffic, with a particular focus on providing direct guidance and support to residents to ensure they can fully utilise the benefits of the national digital traffic platform. Since November 21, the provincial police have launched a 40-day campaign to encourage people to install VNeTraffic and declare vehicle ownership information.
According to Colonel Tran Anh Son, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Provincial Police, the entire police force has been mobilised for the campaign. Police units and localities have been instructed to form mobile teams to approach residents directly and speed up progress. Each provincial-level police officer is required to persuade at least 20 people. Meanwhile, youth union members, women’s union officers, and commune-level police must encourage at least 100 individuals with Level-2 VNeID accounts to install the VNeTraffic application.
Following this directive, local police units have simultaneously carried out the assigned tasks. In Nha Bich Commune, officers were dispatched to residential areas, schools, and workplaces to assist residents with installing, activating, and using the app. The guidance focused on checking traffic violations, updating vehicle information, paying fines online, and encouraging individuals to update their ownership details proactively. The responsibility and dedication demonstrated by grassroots police forces have been welcomed by the community.
In Loc Tan Commune, mobile teams were also deployed to individual households to support residents in logging in, verifying their accounts, and using the app’s features, making it easier for elderly seniors and those less familiar with technology to access the platform.
Tran Thi Mai, a resident of Binh Phuoc Ward, said, “Police officers came to our homes to show us how to check violations and pay fines online. The app is handy, helping us reduce time spent on procedures while improving transparency and making us more proactive when participating in traffic.”
At the provincial level, since November 15, the provincial traffic police have guided driving test candidates and residents on installing and using VNeTraffic. According to the Traffic Police Division of Dong Nai Provincial Police, the app can automatically synchronise information from Level-2 VNeID accounts, including driving licences and vehicles registered under the user's name.
This streamlines file management and information verification, reduces errors, and significantly cuts down the need for traditional paperwork. Linking VNeTraffic with the Level-2 VNeID account allows users to maximise utilities such as looking up documents, checking violation histories, and receiving traffic violation notifications quickly and accurately, thereby improving the effectiveness of digital traffic management.
According to the Traffic Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security, VNeTraffic is the ministry’s official app, designed to support citizens in managing and looking up traffic-related information transparently and conveniently. The app contributes to the development of a modern, intelligent, and safe traffic system; at the same time, it helps users save time on necessary procedures and promotes greater legal awareness and compliance.
Delivering breakthrough conveniences for the public
The expanded installation of Level-2 VNeID accounts and VNeTraffic is offering practical benefits for road users in Dong Nai, marking a breakthrough in the digitalisation of vehicle management and personal records. After linking their accounts, users can display a digital driving license within approximately two hours after completing their driving test, allowing them to travel without carrying a physical license. The system also automatically synchronises complete vehicle and document information using the personal identification code.
According to the Traffic Police Division of Dong Nai Provincial Police, VNeTraffic also allows users to check and update their personal information, especially in cases involving sold vehicles, long-unused vehicles, or incorrect driving license details. Residents only need to visit the commune-level police to report and update the information, making the process smoother and more effective.
Nguyen Van Thang, a truck driver in Trang Dai ward, said, “VNeTraffic lets me check my violation history and pay fines quickly, which helps me be much more proactive in my job. It also makes it easy for me to verify whether my vehicle information is accurate so that I can update it promptly.”
Beyond displaying digital driving licences, the app integrates a wide range of features, including checking vehicle inspection status, tracking document validity, and receiving accurate and timely administrative violation notifications. Many residents appreciate how the app facilitates administrative procedures, especially online fine payments and communication with relevant authorities.
The strong push by the Dong Nai Provincial Police to promote VNeTraffic is gradually transforming public habits and contributing to the development of a modern, safe, and intelligent traffic ecosystem, aligned with the province’s comprehensive digital transformation goals.
