In his opening speech, Ho Van Ha emphasized that fire prevention must take precedence, stressing that “prevention is construction, firefighting is resistance,” and that prevention must be “fundamental, strategic, and long-term.” He highlighted the motto: “Every household safe – Every factory, enterprise safe – Every neighborhood safe – Every commune and ward safe.”

He noted that organizing the firefighting and rescue skills contest plays a crucial role in evaluating the performance and effectiveness of grassroots and specialized firefighting forces across the province. The competition helps strengthen organizational structures, enhance professional training in using firefighting equipment, improve fire and explosion response skills, raise public awareness on prevention, and foster readiness to promptly extinguish fires in their early stages, minimizing losses to life and property.

This year’s contest brought together 66 teams competing in two categories: the “300-meter comprehensive firefighting, rescue, and property-saving” event for communes, wards, offices, schools, and administrative agencies; and the “Two B-nozzle fire pump precision spraying” event for enterprises and production facilities. These were the top-performing teams selected from competitions held across nine regional clusters in the province, as well as the Dong Nai Rubber Corporation (One-Member Limited Liability Company).
