Training on food safety for production facilities

Over two days on December 18 and 19, the Department of Agriculture and Environment organized a 2025 food safety knowledge training course. The training class attracted around 220 trainees who were facility owners and individuals directly engaged in the production and trading of agricultural - forestry - fishery products in the province.

The training program covers an overview of general knowledge on food safety for agricultural, forestry, and fishery products, as well as an introduction to several articles of the Law on Food Safety and Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP dated February 2, 2018, detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Food Safety. The program also focuses on introducing regulations on the handling of administrative violations in the agricultural, forestry, and fishery sectors.

In addition, facility owners and individuals directly engaged in the production and trading of agricultural - forestry - fishery products in the province were also guided on procedures and dossiers for granting certificates of eligibility for food safety conditions; dossiers for self-declaration and methods of submitting dossiers on the public service portal; and taking a multiple-choice test at the end of the session to assess trainees’ learning results.

Speaking at the training session, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Le Thi Anh Tuyet stated that food safety is currently a pressing issue receiving growing attention from consumers. Updating new regulations and equipping facility owners and individuals directly involved in production and trading with knowledge and understanding of food safety is extremely important.

At the same time, the training program disseminates and updates several legal provisions on food safety; provides guidance on food safety requirements in food production and trading; identifies food safety hazards; outlines conditions to ensure food safety at production and trading facilities; and offers instructions on traceability, product recall and handling of unsafe products, along with regulations on the handling of food safety violations.
