More housing opportunities for workers in the northern area of Dong Nai province

On the morning of December 19, in Dong Xoai Ward, Dong Nai Province, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the social housing project in the residential area adjacent to Dong Xoai I Industrial Park.

Member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai province People’s Committee Le Truong Son; Member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, Party Secretary, Chairwoman of the People’s Council of Binh Phuoc ward Giang Thi Phuong Hanh; and representatives of departments, sectors, units, and enterprises attended the ceremony.

The residential area adjacent to Dong Xoai I Industrial Park is located at a strategic position along National Highway 14, with Oky Sai Gon Investment and Development Joint Stock Company as the project’s investor. The development comprises 934 units, including 652 adjacent houses and 282 social housing units, built on a total area of 18,447 square metres.

Trinh Xuan Duc, Vice Chairman of Oky Sai Gon Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, said that the social housing subdivision with 282 units, which was started today, contributes strongly to responding to the Prime Minister’s call for the program to build at least 1 million social housing units for low-income people and industrial park workers; realizing the dream of stable housing for hundreds of worker families who are day and night contributing to the development of Dong Xoai I Industrial Park and surrounding areas. At the same time, it contributes to Dong Nai province's achievement of the target of completing 65,000 or more social housing units set by the province at the first Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

According to Trinh Xuan Duc, compared to many projects in the area, the number of units and overall scale of this project remain modest. However, as the investor behind the project, the company is not only building houses but also shaping a comprehensive living environment. With synchronized infrastructure, all essential needs, from education and healthcare to entertainment and shopping, are met within the residential area. This endeavor not only enhances residents’ quality of life but also fosters a modern and civilized living environment.

“When workers have a solid home and a convenient living environment for their families, they will feel secure to dedicate themselves, and enterprises will stabilize production. That is the most solid foundation, contributing directly to the overall and sustainable development of Dong Nai province”, Vice Chairman of Oky Sai Gon Investment and Development Joint Stock Company Trinh Xuan Duc emphasized.

Speaking at the ceremony, Member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai province People’s Committee Le Truong Son emphasized that the social housing project of the residential area adjacent to Dong Xoai I Industrial Park today not only has purely economic significance but is also an important milestone welcoming the 14th National Party Congress.

Provincial leaders anticipate that the project will be completed on schedule and meet quality standards, thereby creating a stable residential space that provides a long-term foundation for people's livelihoods, while also making a positive contribution to local socio-economic development. To achieve this goal, the Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Province People’s Committee requested that departments and sectors continue to work in coordination and provide maximum support in terms of procedures, infrastructure, and mechanisms, thereby creating the most favorable conditions for the investor to put the project into effective operation as soon as possible.

“In the long term, this area is facing strong breakthrough opportunities thanks to the strategic planning orientations of Dong Nai province. As land reserves in the southern region become increasingly limited, the province is prioritizing the development of industrial parks and industrial clusters in the northern area, which still offers ample space and long-term development potential. A series of projects, including Bac Dong Phu Industrial Park, Nam Dong Phu Industrial Pone, and Suoi Cam Urban Area, are being adjusted in their planning to increase the proportion of industrial use, aiming to attract high-value-added industries with low labor intensity. In addition, the transport infrastructure system with direct connections is being synchronously invested, creating a major driving force for the real estate and housing markets, and opening up prospects for sustainable development across the entire area in the coming period,” said Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai province People’s Committee Le Truong Son.
