On the morning of October 7, the Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Union held its 14th (expanded) Executive Committee Conference to collect feedback on the draft documents for the 14th National Women’s Congress; the report on the implementation of the Charter of the Vietnam Women’s Union and proposed revisions; and the draft documents for the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Congress for the 2025–2030 tenure.

Attending the conference were Le Thi Thanh Loan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province, and Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Union; Le Thi Ngoc Loan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, former Chairwoman of the Provincial Women’s Union; along with former Chairwomen and Vice Chairwomen of the Provincial Women’s Union from previous tenures, and members of the Executive Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Union for the 2021–2026 term.

Speaking at the conference, Le Thi Thanh Loan, Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Union, said the Dong Nai Women’s Union was selected by the Vietnam Women’s Union Central Committee as one of 23 pilot units nationwide to implement the merger and consolidation model. To ensure that the upcoming Provincial Women’s Congress takes place as scheduled, the Provincial Women’s Union organized this conference to listen to feedback from former chairwomen and vice chairwomen of the union, as well as members of the Executive Committee, in order to refine and finalize the draft documents to be submitted at the congress.

At the conference, delegates generally agreed with the draft reports. They also offered additional feedback on the structure, theme, and motto of the upcoming congress, as well as on the assessment of women’s movements and the outcomes of the union’s activities in the previous term, and the orientations and tasks for the next tenure.

Regarding the draft documents to be presented at the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Congress for the 2025–2030 term, in addition to feedback on the structure, theme, and motto of the congress, as well as the assessment of women's movements and union activities in the previous term, many delegates offered in-depth comments on the proposed orientations and tasks for the 2025–2030 period. These contributions aimed to enhance the union’s operational effectiveness and the quality of women's movements, thereby affirming the union’s role and position in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members and women in general.

In her concluding remarks, Le Thi Thanh Loan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province, and Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Union, acknowledged and highly appreciated the constructive feedback from former chairwomen and vice chairwomen of the union, as well as members of the Executive Committee. She affirmed that the Provincial Women’s Union would thoroughly compile all opinions and present a detailed report at the upcoming congress. She also expressed her hope to continue receiving further contributions after the conference to help the Provincial Women’s Union finalize the draft documents before the congress takes place.
