On the morning of September 5, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council Ton Ngoc Hanh; Secretary of the Youth Union Central Committee and Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization's Central Council Nguyen Pham Duy Trang; together with leaders of the Dong Nai Department of Education and Training, the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, and local authorities attended the opening ceremony at Dieu Ong Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities in Bu Dang commune.

For the 2025-2026 academic year, Dieu Ong Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities has 14 classes with 468 students (8 secondary classes and 6 high school classes). The school currently employs 35 teachers, with 100% meeting professional standards and 18.4% exceeding the standard.

Despite many challenges in terms of facilities, the school has arranged sufficient classrooms, dormitories, and necessary equipment to implement the 2018 General Education Program. All classrooms are equipped with televisions for teaching and learning, and 100% of teachers prepare electronic lesson plans.

In the 2024-2025 academic year, the school’s promotion rate reached 99.14%, while graduation rates for both secondary and high school students were 100%. Students with excellent academic performance accounted for 14.6%, and those with good performance accounted for 52.6%. Fourteen students won provincial prizes for outstanding students in grade 9 and grade 12, and three teachers received the provincial title of Excellent Homeroom Teacher. This also marked the second consecutive year that 100% of the school’s 12th graders graduated.

At the opening ceremony, on behalf of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee, Ton Ngoc Hanh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairwoman of Dong Nai People’s Council presented 50 scholarships totaling VND 50 million, 50 gift packages to disadvantaged students, and 300 sets of ethnic uniforms to the school’s students.

On this occasion, the Youth Union Central Committee provided schools in Bu Dang commune with two bookcases worth VND100 million, 30 Vu A Dinh scholarships, 10 bicycles, 500 national flags, and 100 portraits of President Ho Chi Minh.

The school’s teachers and students also followed online the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (August 28, 1945 – August 28, 2025), now the MoET. For the first time, all educational institutions nationwide simultaneously held the flag-raising ceremony and sang the National Anthem at the same time.
