Deputy PM Ho Duc Phoc praises Dong Nai’s efforts in site clearance

On August 14, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Ho Duc Phoc together with a Government working delegation paid a fact-finding trip to inspect Component Project 1 of the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway section running through Dong Nai Province. At the construction site of the project, specifically the interchange between Vo Nguyen Giap Street and the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway in Phuoc Tan Ward, the representative of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board briefed the Government working delegation on the project’s implementation progress.

Construction began on the Component Project 1 of the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway in mid-2022, it is scheduled for basic completion in 2025, and full operation across the entire route in 2026.

Currently, Dong Nai Province has essentially completed site clearance for the project. In particular, the construction area of interchange between Vo Nguyen Giap Street and the Bien Hoa – Vung Tau Expressway, is said to be the most challenging site clearance area, the locality has already handed over the entire site to the contractor for construction.

Regarding construction, contractors are currently operating 35 construction sites, mobilizing more than 400 vehicles and machinery, along with 440 workers. To date, the value of completed work for Component Project 1 has reached about 46% of the contracted amount.

According to Member of the provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee Ho Van Ha, after site clearance is essentially complete, the project now faces no major difficulties or obstacles. Therefore, the province has requested contractors to accelerate construction progress, aiming to achieve technical traffic opening before December 19, 2025, as required by the Prime Minister.

Speaking at the project site, Deputy PM Ho Duc Phoc commended the efforts of Dong Nai Province, especially in site clearance. “At this point, the greatest success of the project is that site clearance has been completed,” Deputy PM Ho Duc Phoc emphasized.

At the same time, the Deputy PM requested that, with site-related obstacles now removed, the investor and contractors must speed up the project’s implementation, taking full advantage of favorable weather conditions to accelerate construction.
