Dong Nai Department of Construction has just issued Official Document No. 1806 on focusing efforts to ensure traffic safety and meet people’s travel needs during the National Day (September 2) holiday break and the opening of the 2025-2026 school year.

Accordingly, the Department of Construction requires investors, construction units, and contractors across the province to suspend construction before August 29. At the same time, units must urgently clean up and restore the site. Specifically, materials and equipment must be neatly cleared away to return smooth roadways. Units are also required to prepare plans to ensure traffic safety, prevent fire and explosion hazards, and arrange personnel and necessary equipment to promptly handle arising situations, ensuring smooth traffic flow throughout the holiday period.

The Department of Construction also requires units to manage, operate and maintain road and inland waterway infrastructure to strengthen patrols and inspections on routes under their management. In particular, they must focus on timely maintenance and repair of asphalt surface damage, bridge deterioration, and major roads. Specific tasks include clearing vegetation along roadsides to ensure visibility, repairing damaged sidewalks, and dredging drainage ditches. Road traffic signals, markers, guardrails, lane markings, buoys, and inland waterway signal lights must also be reviewed, supplemented, and adjusted.

To effectively handle unexpected situations, the Department of Construction requires BOT units to develop plans to ensure public order and manage traffic flow at toll stations when vehicle volume surges. These units must assign staff to be on duty to guide, regulate traffic, and promptly handle or clear vehicles to minimize congestion.

In addition, units are required to closely coordinate with other functional forces to ensure traffic safety and public order. In case of traffic infrastructure incidents caused by rain, floods, or accidents, units must take proactive measures and promptly notify and maintain communication with the Traffic Safety and Infrastructure Management Division (under the Department of Construction).
