Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Health Pham Thi Mai Huong highly appreciated and acknowledged the achievements of social protection facilities and social work units in the province over the past period. She expressed her hope that these organizations would continue to innovate their methods, develop creative and effective approaches, and contribute to ensuring social welfare across the province. She also emphasized the importance of collective efforts across society in spreading compassion and positive values within the community, noting that “when we give love, we receive even more in return.”
According to a report from the Department of Health, in 2025, the province provided regular social allowances and social pensions to approximately 142,000 beneficiaries, with a total budget of nearly VND 1.1 trillion. In addition, the issuance of health insurance cards to beneficiaries at non-public social assistance facilities has been effectively maintained, ensuring people’s access to healthcare services.
Attention has also been given to improving the spiritual well-being of older people. Throughout the year, thousands of senior citizens were honored in longevity celebrations, and numerous humanitarian support activities were organized during the Lunar New Year, benefiting dozens of thousands of individuals through gifts and financial assistance.

Notably, social work for children achieved significant results. Programs supporting disadvantaged children were implemented in a coordinated and effective manner. Over 9,300 children in difficult circumstances received Lunar New Year gifts, with total funding exceeding VND 3 billion. Additionally, 227 students were awarded scholarships, including many outstanding performers, thereby encouraging resilience and academic excellence.
Activities related to child care, recreation, and education were also organized in a lively and engaging manner, attracting widespread participation from children. Many children in especially difficult situations received support for family-based rehabilitation and improved living conditions through international projects.
