Developing Dong Nai Lung Hospital into a more specialized and modern facility

On February 25, Dong Nai Lung Hospital, located in Phuoc Tan Ward, celebrated the 71st anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27, 1955 - 2026). Director of Dong Nai Department of Health Do Thi Nguyen visited and attended the ceremony.

Dong Nai Lung Hospital was established in 1984. From the initial days in difficult circumstances and shortage, the hospital now has a staff of 150 cadres and employees; facilities, equipment and machinery have been invested in to be modern, meeting the needs of patient care and treatment. The hospital has a scale of 240 inpatient beds and 100 outpatient beds. In recent years, the hospital has affirmed itself as the leading specialized unit in the examination, treatment, prevention and control of tuberculosis and chronic lung diseases in the province.

At the ceremony, generations of doctors from Dong Nai Lung Hospital reviewed the good traditions of the medical profession. At the same time, they emphasized that they would continue to unite, strive to study, improve medical skills, and cultivate medical ethics to better care for people's health.

Highly appreciating the results that Dong Nai Lung Hospital has achieved in recent times, Director of the Department of Health Do Thi Nguyen requested the hospital's staff to continue promoting the achieved results, upholding the spirit of solidarity, support, and mutual assistance to well complete the assigned tasks, thereby continuing to build the hospital into a more specialized and modern hospital.

The leader of the Department of Health also requested Dong Nai Lung Hospital to proactively develop plans and roadmaps, and advise the Department of Health to effectively organize and arrange the apparatus in a streamlined and efficient manner; focus on building a team of medical staff who are both "red" (ideologically sound) and "expert" (professionally competent), demonstrate professional excellence, uphold exemplary medical ethics, and always consider patients as their teachers.

Director of the Department of Health Do Thi Nguyen hoped that the officials and medical workers of Dong Nai Lung Hospital will always maintain their passion and enthusiasm, and effectively implement the beloved Uncle Ho's advice "A good doctor is like a gentle mother".
