(ĐN) - On July 22, Department of Health stated that after the merger of Binh Phuoc province and Dong Nai province into the new Dong Nai province, the province's healthcare system continued to expand.

With over 4.4 million people, as of now, the new province has 3 provincial general hospitals, 3 regional general hospitals, 5 specialized hospitals, and 22 regional medical centers, 6 provincial specialized centers, 95 commune/ward health stations, 175 health posts, and a hamlet/neighborhood healthcare system.
There are also 8 hospitals and medical facilities at the central, ministry, and sector levels. The private healthcare system has developed strongly with 12 private general and specialized hospitals, 111 general clinics, over 2,000 specialized clinics, over 4,000 pharmacies, drugstores, and healthcare service facilities.
Regarding human resources, as of now, Dong Nai healthcare sector has approximately 15,000 healthcare workers (including both public and private). Among them are over 4,400 doctors, over 7,300 nurses, over 2,000 pharmacists...
