Attention should be paid to stepping up dissemination to raise public awareness of disease prevention and control, improve environmental sanitation, and spray chemicals to kill mosquito larvae, stressed Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh
Since the beginning of this year, Dong Nai had reported over 16,400 dengue fever cases and 16 fatalities.
The infections were mainly detected in Trang Bom district, Bien Hoa and Long Khanh cities.
It is predicted that the number of new cases may rise in the coming time. To prevent it from spreading out, the Department of Health has asked the localities to keep a close watch on the developments of the disease.
