As many as 6,600 cases of HIV infection have so far been discovered in the province in 2022, according to the estimation of the Administration of HIV/AIDS Control and Prevention. Of them, over 5,900 cases have been managed, representing 90 percent of the calculation of HIV cases in the province.
At present, more than 200 patients, including 110 children, are being treated with antiretroviral (ARV) drug and over 1,200 drug addicts are receiving methadone treatment at nine methadone treatment facilities across the province.
