(ĐN)- According to a report from the Dong Nai Social Security (DSS), as of December 31, 2021, the number of health insurance card holders in the province reached more than 2.5 million or 83 percent of the population, 8 percent lower than the target set by the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and Committee.
The fall was due to impacts of COVID-19. Over the past six months, many local enterprises were temporarily closed due to a lack of funds stemming from the COVID-19 epidemic.
In 2021, more than 4.4 million people used health insurance for health checkups and treatment totaling over VND1.9 trillion.
In the coming time, the DSS will continue with administrative reform and information-technology application, as well as artificial intelligence to better serve people and businesses.
