According to Department of Health, 6,146 cases of HIV infection have so far been discovered in the province, achieving the target of controlling the rate of HIV-infected cases in the community at under 0.3 percent.
At present, more than 15,000 patients, including 114 children, are being treated with antiretroviral (ARV) drug and over 1,200 drug addicts are receiving methadone treatment at nine methadone treatment facilities across the province.
