(ĐN)- Dong Nai reported an additional 648 COVID-19 cases and 5 more deaths in the past 24 hours to 7am on October 14, the Department of Health announced.
Of the new infections, two were detected in the community, 533 in quarantine sites and 113 in locked-down areas.
The provincial tally since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 57,125. The total number of deaths is 512.
Bien Hoa city still has the highest infection rate, with 358 cases, followed by Nhon Trach district (169), and Trang Bom (77). Other areas that have recorded COVID cases are: Vinh Cuu district (17), Long Khanh city (7), Thong Nhat district (6), Long Thanh (5), Dinh Quan (3), Tan Phu (3), Cam My (2), and Xuan Loc (1).
It was also announced that 42,503 patients fully recovered from the virus.
More than 2.4 million vaccine doses have been administered so far in Dong Nai, with over 679,200 people fully inoculated, accounting for 30.1 percent of the province’s population aged over 18.
