(ĐN)- Dong Nai recorded 509 new COVID-19 infections, including 5 cases in the community, in the past 24 hours to 7am on October 2, according to the Department of Health.
Bien Hoa city continued to report the highest number of infections with 297 cases, down 158 cases. It was followed by Nhon Trach district with 131 cases, down 38; Vinh Cuu 38, up 8; Trang Bom 21, down 41, and Long Thanh 16.
Dong Nai has to date logged 49,858 COVID-19 cases.
6 deaths related to COVID-19 were announced on the day, raising the death toll to 459.
As of the end of October 1, over 1.8 million people had been vaccinated with at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccines, with more than 198,300 already receiving full two shots.
