Dong Nai logs 589 new COVID-19 cases on October 7

(ĐN)- A total of 589 new COVID-19 infections were recorded in Dong Nai in the past 24 hours to 7am on October 7.

(ĐN)- A total of 589 new COVID-19 infections were recorded in Dong Nai in the past 24 hours to 7am on October 7.

Bien Hoa city continued to record the highest daily case count at 390. The remaining new infections were detected in Nhon Trach district (70), Trang Bom (65), Vinh Cuu (33), Long Thanh (16), Tan Phu (7), Thong Nhat (3), Dinh Quan (2), Cam My (2), Xuan Loc (1).

Among the new cases, six was found in the community, 376 in quarantine sites and 207 in locked-down areas.

Dong Nai’s COVID-19 caseload now stands at 53,145.

An additional two COVID-related deaths were announced the same day in the province, raising the tally to 490. Twenty-nine patients are in serious condition, according to the Department of Health’s report.

More than 2.1 million vaccine doses have been administered in Dong Nai to date, accounting for 95.7 percent of the province’s population aged over 18, with over 236,900 people fully inoculated.
