(ĐN)- A total of 578 new COVID-19 infections were recorded in Dong Nai in the past 24 hours to 7am on October 9.
Bien Hoa city and Nhon Trach district, the two largest hotspots in the province, continued to record the highest daily case count at 310 and 183 respectively.
Among the new cases, four were recorded in the community, 514 in quarantine sites and 60 in locked-down areas.
There were also 598 patients given the all-clear on October 9, bringing the total numbers of recoveries to 39,233.
The provincial tally now stands at 54,337; 29 patients are in serious condition.
Dong Nai has had 492 COVID-19 fatalities to date.
2,698,725 million vaccine doses have been administered in the province to date, with 420,516 people fully inoculated, 18.66 percent
