(ĐN)- Dong Nai recorded 896 new COVID-19 infections, in the last 24 hours to 7am on September 11, raising the provincial tally to more than 33,900, the Department of Health announced.
Accordingly, 3 cases were detected in the community and others already under quarantine.
Bien Hoa city, which is the province's largest pandemic hotspot, reported the highest number of infections with 474 cases.
It was followed by Vinh Cuu district (202), Nhon Trach (153), Long Thanh (28), Trang Bom (20), and Thong Nhat (2).
An additional 6 deaths were reported on the day. The new fatalities brought the province's death toll to 307.
A total of nearly 1,400,000 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Dong Nai, accounting for 62.1 percent of the province’s population aged over 18.
