(ĐN)- Dong Nai detected 992 new COVID-19 cases, 16 in community and 976 in quarantined sites and locked down areas, in the past 24 hours to 7am on September 4, according to the provincial Centre for Disease Control.
Nhon Trach district accounts for the highest number of infections with 484 cases. Other infections were recorded in Bien Hoa city (195), the districts of Vinh Cuu (119), Trang Bom (118) and Thong Nhat (30), Dinh Quan (22), Cam My (12), Long Thanh (5), etc.
Also on September 4, a further 278 patients were given the all-clear from coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, raising the total number of recoveries to 11,736.
Meanwhile, 3 fatalities related to the disease were reported on the same day, lifting the province’s death toll to 220.
Since the fourth wave of COVID-19 infections, Dong Nai has logged 27,409 cases.
A total of 838,951 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Dong Nai, with 61,992 people getting full two shots, accounting for 37.2 percent of the province’s population aged over 18.
