(ĐN)- Dong Nai recorded 994 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours to 7am on September 18, taking the total number of infections to 39,137, according to the provincial Centre for Disease Control.
Bien Hoa city still topped the list with 549 new infections, followed by Nhon Trach district with 255, Vinh Cuu (152), Trang Bom (22), Long Thanh (11), and Thong Nhat (4).
Among the new cases, one was found in the community, 616 in quarantine sites and 377 in locked-down areas.
There were also 31 fatalities during the day, raising total death toll to 372, while that of recoveries are recorded at 18,320.
There are currently 180 patients in serious conditions.
So far, over 1.7 million people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Dong Nai, accounting for 77.4 percent of the province’s population aged over 18.
