Vietnamese scientists have successfully developed a mobile oxygen and compressed air generating system to help ease the current shortages of oxygen for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
The mobile oxygen and compressed air generating station, developed by engineers from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, is called NOVAO2-Mobile System. |
Each of the stations, created by engineers from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, can provide oxygen for a 20-bed ICU or up to 60 patients.
“It takes between 1 and 2 weeks to produce a station at the earliest. We are willing to transfer the technology to other companies for mass production if necessary,” said Ngo Thanh Son of NovaMed Vietnam, a partner of the project.
2 stations have been completed and will soon be sent to Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces, 2 of the largest COVID-19 hotspots in Vietnam at the moment.
