Vietnam reports additional 852 COVID-19 cases on July 13 afternoon

The Health Ministry said 852 cases of COVID-19 were detected in the country during the time from 1pm to 6pm July 13, raising the number of cases in the past 24 hours to 2,301, including five imported cases.

Ho Chi Minh City still accounted for a majority of cases with 1,797, followed by Binh Duong with 186, Long An 130, Dong Thap 31, Ba Ria-Vung Tau 27, Phu Yen 26, Vinh Long 23, Dong Nai 12 and Ben Tre 11.

The national tally rose to 34,500, comprising 32,555 domestic infections and 1,945 imported cases.

An additional 222 patients were given the all-clear on July 13, raising the number of recoveries to 9,553, while five more deaths related to COVID-19 were reported on the same day.

Among active patients, 307 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, 114 twice and 81 thrice.

A total 3,783,505 people have received one shot of COVID-19 vaccine, and 280,367 have got the full two doses.
