After the project of performing open-heart surgeries had been approved by the Ministry of Health in March 2018, the hospital carried out the project and signed technical transferring contract for conducting open-heart surgeries with Cho Ray Hospital. The program has helped local patients with hearth diseases reduce their time and costs as well as have more chances for better treatment.
Since March 2018, cardiologists of Dong Nai General Hospital have conducted successfully 48 open-heart surgeries, including 19 cases conducted on their own, while the others were performed with technical assistance from Cho Ray Hospital’s surgeons
