All of the passengers were screened at the designated area at the HCMC-based Tan Son Nhat International Airport before being quarantined at a police school in Dong Nai’s Long Thanh District.

Most of them are studying and working in the UK.

These citizens, along with their luggage and the vehicles that transported them to the quarantine center, were disinfected upon their arrival at the facility.

Health workers at the facility then checked their health status and divided them into groups. They will have their samples collected for Covid-19 testing today, June 5.

Nguyen Huu Tai, deputy director of the provincial Health Department and head of the quarantine center’s management board, said that the southern province had upgraded the facilities at the center and prepared a sufficient number of personnel to assist with the purpose.

Health workers and others working at the center were required to wear protective suits while interacting with those being quarantined.
