This is an annual activity of the hospital to provide disadvantaged locals with free healthcare services. This year’s program cost VND80 million, which was partially funded by Phuc Thien Pharma.
Long Hoa Pagoda also organizes many other community-based programs. On the first Thursday of every month, the pagoda delivers 300 vegetarian meals to poor patients at the hospital of Nhon Trach District.
Besides, the pagoda buys health insurance for underprivileged people, builds houses for the poor, grants scholarships to needy students, donates gifts to children during the Mid-Autumn festival, and organizes spring programs for the elderly.
