Dong Nai sees drop in measles, dengue fever and HFM cases

(ĐN)- Dong Nai has seen a slight decrease in the number of measles, dengue fever, and hand, foot and mouth cases since mid-April, according to Director Bach Thai Binh of the Disease Control Center.

Accordingly, over 1,100 cases of measles have been reported in Dong Nai since the beginning of this year. Bien Hoa city, Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts are the leading localities with the highest cases. From April 20-26, 42 measles patients were reported, falling three cases compared to the previous week.

In the first four months, hospitals in the province admitted over 2,400 dengue fever patients. Last week, the province recorded 108 dengue cases, down one case from previous week.

Meanwhile, more than 1,100 new incidences of hand, foot and mouth were also reported in this period, a year-on-year increase of 33 percent.
