(ĐN)- On March 7, Dong Nai Department of Health held a conference to review the health sector’s activities on providing health protection for workers and preventing occupational diseases in 2018 and deploy tasks for 2019.

As of 2018-end, the sector organized periodic health checks for more than 74,700 workers who work in 226 enterprises. Moreover, over 22,500 labourers in the province were checked for occupational diseases and found to have diseases.
Speaking at the conference, Director Phan Huy Anh Vu of DoH suggested the health sector and local enterprises to continue efforts to implement periodical medical examinations for workers. Especially, enterprises operating in fields where the working environment can be dangerous, must check for occupational diseases in addition to periodical medical examinations.
On this occasion, Director Phan Huy Anh Vu honored 20 individuals and 20 collectives for their outstanding achievements in providing health protection and preventing occupational diseases in 2018.
