(ĐN)- More than 500 cases of measles were recorded in Dong Nai since the start of 2019; many of them were children under nine years old, the province’s Preventive Health Centre reported.
The number of cases is increasing in the locality. Most of the infected children have not been vaccinated or did not receive full vaccinations.
Deputy Director Tran Minh Hoa of Dong Nai Preventive Health Centre said local health sector noticed a risk of measles infection rise.
The sector will continue vaccination campaigns to make sure that all children are vaccinated against measles.
To proactively prevent this epidemic, the health department also warned people to take the initiative in environmental hygiene and disinfection, improve the body’s resistance and have their vaccination.
