(ĐN)- A ceremony was held yesterday to mark the 64th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27) and honor doctors and nurses for their contributions to the health sector.
The ceremony saw the attendance of Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of the provincial People’s Committee, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Hoa Hiep of the provincial People’s Committee and lots of medical staffs.
Addressing at the event, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Hoa Hiep praised achievements made by local medical staff over the past time and suggested the health sector to continue its efforts to fulfill the set targets.
She also pointed to the need for the local medical staffs to better carry out activities in preventing diseases, improve treatment quality, taking well care of patients, boost the socialization in healthcare service, build a strong health sector and better serve local peole in taking care of their health.
On this occasion, 84 individuals were presented campaign medals of the Health Ministry and 5 collectives were awarded emulation flags of the provincial People’s Committee.
