The centre said the baby died in the province’s Trang Bom district while being taken to Children Hospital in HCM city with severe dengue fever.
There have been more than 5,000 cases of dengue in DongNai so far; around 95% of cases are children.
Over the past time, the provincial health sector has stepped up measures to ensure the environment, kill mosquito larva and focus on treatment of patients.
