(ĐN)- As many as 2.3 million people in Dong Nai have joined social insurance, unemployment insurance and health insurance.
The figure was announced at a conference presided over by Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of the provincial People’s Committee to review the implementation of social insurance and health insurance in 2017 and first 4 months of 2018.
Meanwhile, 291,000 people have bought voluntary social insurance and health insurance has covered 86 percent of the country’s population, exceeding the target assigned by the Government by 30 percent.
Accordingly, about 80.5 percent of Dong Nai’s population has joined the health insurance scheme so far. The figure is expected to reach 84.5 percent by the end of 2018.
