(ĐN)- Dong Nai reported 162 new HIV-infected cases and two deaths from AIDS in the first ten months of this year, according to HIV/AIDS Prevention Center.
The figure saw a decrease of 51 new cases and 9 deaths compared to the same period of last year.
The number of people aged 15-24 catching HIV strongly tended upwards in this period, from 6 percent of the total infections in the same period of last year to 21 percent this year.
The 25-49 age group accounted for 73 percent of the total new HIV infections in the reviewed time.
Currently, there are more than 4,100 people living with HIV in the province.
