(ĐN)- The number of dengue fever cases dropped over the last two weeks but is still high in Bien Hoa city.
Since the beginning of September, more than 100 dengue fever cases have been reported in the locality, down nearly 150 cases over the previous two weeks.
Nearly 1,300 cases of dengue fever have been reported in Bien Hoa city since early this year, 30 percent higher than those in the same period last year.
Recently, Bien Hoa city launched mosquito larva killing campaigns in an effort to prevent the disease’s spread.
However, the health sector warned that the dengue fever outbreak will continue developing complicatedly with high risk in many localities. Accordingly, more efforts should be made to increase awareness among local people on how to prevent dengue fever by raising public awareness on keeping their home free from mosquito and spraying mosquito repellent in high-risk areas
