(ĐN)- Nearly 3,000 cases of dengue fever, including two deaths, have been reported in Dong Nai since early this year, according to the Department of Health.

Bien Hoa city has the highest number of dengue cases in province, with over 960 infected cases. It was followed by Nhon Trach district, over 750 cases, and Trang Bom district, 300 cases.

Dong Nai’s health sector is launching mosquito larva killing campaigns in an effort to prevent the disease’s spread.

The campaign aims to increase awareness among local people on how to prevent dengue fever, which has been on the increase in the province, by raising public awareness on keeping their home free from mosquito and spraying mosquito repellent in high-risk areas.
