Recently, two rehab centers using the methadone treatment method have been opened in Trang Bom and Dinh Quan districts.
The province now has six clinics providing methadone therapy for around 76 percent of local drug addicts. Together with psychosocial therapies, methadone has been proven to be an effective method in helping improve the overall health of drug users, reduce crimes and slow the incidence rate of HIV transmission and other blood-borne diseases.
