(ĐN)-Dong Nai Department of Health on May 16 held a ceremony to inaugurate new Long Khanh Regional General Hospital. The event was attended by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai.
The new hospital located in Long Khanh township’s Suoi Tre commune, along Highway 1, covers an area of 61,000 sq.m and is built at total investment of VND751 billion. The new hospital comprises many functional areas, including out-patient treatment, paraclinical, in-patient treatment, administration and other facilities.
The 600-bed hospital is also equipped with modern medical equipment with the aim to provide better healthcare for people in the locality and the neighboring districts.

Addressing at the ceremony, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai highly appreciated efforts made by related units in putting the new hospital into use, contributing to increase the quality of medical treatment and examination to serve local people. He also asked the hospital’s board of directors to promptly move equipment from the old hospital to the new hospital, make maximum use of the hospital capacity, and provide professional training improve staff’s ethics along with continuously create pleasure for patients.
The new hospital is expected to officially welcome patients on May 22.
