(ĐN)- Many localities in Dong Nai province have recently implemented a mosquito larva killing campaign within households in an effort to prevent dengue fever and Zika virus.
The campaign was first run in Bien Hoa city and Thong Nhat district before spreading to other localities.
Local authorities and mass organisation have been also urged to join the campaign while continuing to spread information on how to prevent Zika and dengue fever outbreaks.
The campaign aims to call for families’ self-protection against mosquitoes by cleaning water containers to remove mosquito larvae and securely covering all water containers to prevent the insect from entering them and laying eggs.
