This is one of the modern cancer treatment methods in the world. Accordingly, special machine will produce magnetic nanoparticles to increase body temperature. These nanoparticles absorb energy from magnetic fields and convert it into heat which is used to raise the temperature in tumours and combat them. The highest temperature for effective treatment could be up to 42 degree Celcious.
With this new therapy, the magnetic fields temperature used are not harmful for the body, in other words, they produce no heat so they do not affect the healthy parts of the body. The new therapy is expected to help raise the effectiveness of cancer treatment when it is combined with other therapies such as radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery.
